Split Leaf Philodendron, Nikon D5100, ISO 640
I have been talking about taking better photos for awhile, but never took the time to figure out my camera. The main impetus in improving my camera skills is every time I go Rebekka Seale's blog she has the most gorgeous photos & I think, "Oh I want to take photos like that." So yesterday I took time out of the studio & read the first chapter of a book specifically geared towards my camera. That ISO stuff really makes a difference. I already have a lot more control over the image; imagine what I will be able to do by chapter 4?! What are you conquering this month? Happy Thursday Y'all!

Do you know the artist Carla Sonheim? I've taken her online classes. Her husband Steve offers a class on photography and also has book that looks quite good. I'm loving your work, Julia.
