We had a particularly low tide at our end of the island yesterday afternoon, exposing a very large intertidal zone. A friend went out & collected 10 lovely sand dollars. I happened to see her just after this expedition & had the opportunity to document the sand dollars. They really are sand colored. We only think of them as white because of the extreme bleaching process they go thru, which kills the organism & the smell. So I was glad to see them in their natural state. Happy Monday Y'all!
