Salt/Water Revisited

I wanted to explore these paintings again so I painted another. It has been a few months & so the technique with which I approached the first batch was not clear in my mind; hence the variations. Not as much contrast between the blues, much stronger presence of gold, & a lot of variation in line-width & overlap. As a printmaker I am familiar with working in a matrix, so even though I have been choosing to use watercolor for the greater part of a year, it is still the method with which I attack the work: stripes, salt, sumi-e, layer, wait.
