Sometimes time it is crucial to change it up so you can get back to your favorites with a fresh perspective. Yesterday I chose to paint with Permanent Sap Green?! I wrote about this color as my flame of the week almost a year ago & like most flames it died out, but the embers still glow from time to time. Yesterday I selected this color because I have it in both the Winsor & Newton and Hydrus collections. I wanted to see just how extreme the color difference is. The scribbly image at the left is Winsor & Newton Permanent Sap Green as the all over color & Dr. Ph. Martins Permanent Sap Green as the squiggle. In the image below, perylene green is combined with the Winsor & Newton Permanent Sap Green. I certainly would not call these Permanent Sap Greens the same color, but I guess this is more evidence of the more Revolutionary War. It certainly is fascinating to me to track all of these differences. Happy Tuesday Y'all!
