The most striking thing I saw outside this week was a female cardinal in a camellia tree. Of course she did not stay there long enough for me to capture her image. Her beak was slightly orange compared to the camellias and her body was that classic dusty brown. Her head crest was most notable because it was so full. When I googled female cardinals later, I was nonplussed by their crests. Her's had been robust & regal. I had a very nice profile view for at least 10 seconds. I wish you could have seen it. What birds have been around your feeders recently? Other notable outside events: Baby dolphins in the creek.
