Beach Branches

Hunting Island Installment #4: Beach Branches. These trees, roots & branches are the aftermath of Hurricane Hugo (1989). While walking along the beach the feeling is very reminiscent of a stark desert, an unusual sensation when you have waves crashing at your feet. The trees form a naturalist sculpture park that is very intriguing to walk thru. Every spot you look at another tableau is playing out. This time of year you have to wait for the tide to be low, unless you want wet cold feet. I wonder if walking thru it will feel the same in summer when there is not the same tidal time constraint?
