Stats & Perspective

I have been so disheartened with Instagram this past year. Blatant copying of my work and incessant repetitive lazy questions (which I wrote about here) combined with a dramatic decrease in likes and views made me wonder about continuing to share on a platform that I ultimately have no control over. So when I saw this stat placing me quantitatively in the top 1% of creators with a following of my size I was shocked?! The top nine also shows how much viewers respond to me showing completed work, and not so much the painting process. I have been contemplating a content shift for awhile and will be taking time away from social media to work behind the scenes for a bit, and will be reflecting on this and much else.
