Prayer Books

What if to paint is to pray? These objet d’art are salted watercolor offerings constructed with prayerful attention. Their intended use is the practice of visio divina: meditation and conversation with the Divine. Each painting is a deliberate conversation between watercolor and salt, method and meaning. Once the paper is dry, the meander construction begins. This is a traditional zine format in which a book is made using only three tears in a sheet of paper. When folded the viewer is able to page thru the book with a horizontal or vertical orientation. May this offering be a blessing to all who encounter it.
