And I must go. I am back at camp in the ADK. It is a wonderful time away to observe & reflect. I will not be posting on the blog for the next two weeks as I breathe the balsam air & enjoy the lake. Happy Monday Y'all!

I was not off road. But my GPS was programmed to say that I was. In the same instance it knew my destination was ahead. I find this an interesting confabulation (to full in gaps in memory by fabrication) of information. But the point I want to make is outside of my GPS. What facts do we have about any situation? We have what we see, I clearly saw a road in front of me; we have what we are told, you are off road. Things to think about in this media saturated time. Happy Thursday Y'all! When I admire the wonders of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in the worship of the creator. -Mahatma Gandhi
Watching the pelicans soar along the treeline over the beach is so fun! There are larger flocks that cause everyone out there to pause & watch them ride the currents. My father is convinced that they are just out there having fun! Another things that was unusual to observe was a confluence of waters. Johnson Creek meets the Atlantic ocean. Somedays it is mellow & other times the waters churn dependent on tide & rainfall. It is wonderful to observe. Happy Tuesday Y'all!
There are still places where you can escape the digital ethers, yes those places really still exist & I am headed to one of them for the next week. Rest assured there will be lots of photos to show next week. Peace Y'all!
Yesterday I was explaining my process to an acquaintance and said, "It is all a conversation between the paint & brush & salt & paper." I am there to try and facilitate it. They looked at me askance and laughed. However, I stand by that idea: a conversation is occurring between my materials; I am there to facilitate by providing supplies & helping the participants move around. Like the rest of us the paintings have been enjoying the sunshine this summer. Hence another aerial view al fresco. Happy Wednesday Y'all!
Raindrops on Roses, that lovely line from The Sound of Music comes to mind. This backyard rose is the most luscious shade of orange right now, so do enjoy this photo. Happy Tuesday Y'all!
